While studying at Pittsburgh Technical College, the final project for my Illustration class was to create a technical drawing. The goal of the project was to make the illustration look as close to photograph quality as possible.
One of my hobbies outside of design is gaming, so I decided to draw a graphics card that would be found in a gaming PC. The original picture that I drew is from a Radeon RX 7090 XTX. I used Illustrator to draw on top of the original picture. The main problem I had with this project was matching the grain of the plastic, as the gradients looked too smooth. I used effects within Illustrator to give the plastic part a grainier texture.
